Today, we honor beloved Memphis artist and educator Chuck Johnson (1949-2026), a mentor and friend to MANY.

Known for his explorations of shape, line, and pattern, Chuck was an equally exacting gardner tending to his bonsai trees.

His legacy lives on through those he has impacted.

Get ready, Memphis! The annual Día de Mu***os celebration is back, bringing color, music, and tradition to Main Street.

Memphis Art Museum is proud to partner with Cazateatro Bilingual Theatre Group and the Orpheum Theatre Group to invite you and your family to honor your ancestors, remember loved ones, and celebrate the cycle of life and death.

📅 Oct 24th
Parade: 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
Festival: 12–3 p.m.

📍 NEW DOWNTOWN PARADE ROUTE
The parade starts at Court Square, marches straight down Main Street, and finishes at the Halloran Center (Orpheum Theatre Group).
