Downsville, Wisconsin was officially established in 1858. The Chippewa Valley was originally home to the Santee Dakota and Ojibwe people who each had a unique tradition and deep connection to the land. The landscape of Dunn County was dramatically altered by the logging barons of the mid-1800s. Happy Spring! We are excited to announce we will be open daily starting this Saturday April 11. John has fired some amazing new pots for the home and garden. Come visit us in beautiful Downsville, just south of Menomonie,. Wisconsin. We are open daily through the new year. Thanks to everyone for another great year at the pottery. New this year, we will be closed, except by appointment January through March. We will resume our usual hours, 10am - 6pm - 7 days a week on Friday, April 10. We at Dunn County Pottery stand for peace, justice and human rights for everyone. Hi Friends. The wood kiln is open! Stop by our shop in Downsville soon, just minutes south of Menomonie off Highway 25. Potter Jon Thomas has created some truly beautiful pots for the home and kitchen made of stoneware and local clays. The shop is open 10am - 6pm daily. We hope to see you soon!

Register today to join us on Saturday, August 24 for the Hare Scramble, the first annual Snaggy Bend Prairie Bike Race! Sponsored by Dunn County Pottery, this five-mile race has two waves. The first wave is for competitive Racers and starts at 8 am.* The second wave for Joy Riders and walkers starts at 8:15 am, and e-bikes are permitted. Be prepared for rough terrain, as the course goes through the prairie. Prizes are to be announced for the first three finishers.

*all non-motorized bike types are permitted

We will gather for $15 registration at 7 am in the Creamery parking lot in Downsville (E4616 County Rd C, Menomonie, WI). Please pay with cash, check or Venmo -Thomas-1425.
