Today is the last day to experience the Clothesline Project.
Each shirt carries a voice.
A story.
A truth that deserves to be seen and heard.

This exhibition reminds us that behind every message is a person who chose to speak, to share, and to transform pain into visibility. These shirts are not just fabric—they are acts of courage.

Take a moment to walk through, to witness, and to reflect.
Listening matters. Bearing witness matters.

Our craft table will be open in the gallery! Create a small note or visual response to add to our growing Bobcat Artist Statements Wall and become part of the exhibition.

Join us for the opening reception of The Ground We Share: A UC Merced Origins Project tomorrow at 6 PM at the UC Merced Art Gallery! 💛🐾

This exhibition is still evolving and what you’ll see tomorrow is just the beginning of a living, growing project. Over the next few weeks, new artworks, stories, and community contributions will continue to be added as we build toward a major December showcase.
Come see the early phase of this powerful exhibition, meet the student curators and artists, and learn how you can add your story to the Bobcat Story Wall. ✍🏽🎨

Yesterday our GAMWS (Global Art, Media, Writing Studies) dept. hosted a campus visit from 33 Livingston High art students. We showed them the Actions for the Earth exhibit in La Galería and they even got to see behind the scenes on how exhibitions are held and planned. Other art sites were the Big Rufus and New Beginnings statues, a campus mural, and the Corazón exhibit at the UCM Art Gallery. We were happy to bid farewell to this special exhibit with our young friends. In keeping with the Corazón(heart) theme, we held an art workshop where they made heart keychains while they snacked on Corazón cookies and heart candy bracelets. 💖

We always love our visits from high schools, and we felt this was a wonderful way to say goodbye to an exhibit that will always hold a special place in our hearts.🫶
—>We think our new friends would make fabulous UCM Bobcats!🐾💙💛

We were thrilled to welcome Livingston High School students to our campus yesterday! 🎨✨ They observed one of our awesome GASP painting classes and then visited the Alma, Corazón y Vida exhibitions where they experienced the incredible works of Chicano and Latinx art legends.

It was inspiring to see their curiosity and creativity come alive as they engaged with the art on campus. 🌟 We hope this visit sparks a passion for art and higher education—and we’d love to see some of these talented students return as future Bobcats! 🐾💛💙
