Meredith Historical Society The Meredith Historical Society was incorporated in 1950. You may visit the museum by appointment.

The Society strives to perpetuate local history through the development and preservation of a substantial collection of historical documents, artifacts, manuscripts and memorabilia. It is the aim of the Society to expand individual and collective knowledge about our unique local heritage, resulting in a greater sense of "community" and civic pride. Thank you to all who attended the Open House at the Main Street Museum. A special thank you to John Edgar for the hot dogs and for manning the grill and to Ben and Jerry’s for the delicious ice cream!
The Museum is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 to 3 and Sunday from 12:30 until 3. It’s a wonderful place to explore local history.

John Hopper spoke about the History of the Meredith Village Mill Yard to an audience of over a hundred last night at the Meredith Community Center. His talk perfectly illustrated the theme of the 2026 Meredith Old Home Day, “Honoring Yesterday Celebrating Today 1776-2026.”
His recently published book is available at the Main Street Museum. Museum hours ate Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 to 3 and Sunday 12:30 to 3.
