A little light paleontological reading for your weekend. “It took me a few minutes to realize the obvious, I had just exposed the oldest chelicera ever found.” Claws, pinchers, grabby parts, whatever you want to call them, they are an amazing adaptation and according to this article, much older than previously expected.

Today, we pause to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. We are grateful for their sacrifice, and for the families and loved ones who continue to carry the weight of that loss. Because of them, we can experience many of the freedoms and everyday moments we can too easily take for granted. We are grateful.

AZMNH is regularly closed on Mondays. In observance of Memorial Day, museum staff will also have the day off.
