Our passion is to be a “play house”; a place people can go to experience a feeling of freedom and a sense of comfort to both peruse and express themselves with many different forms of ART, via painting, music, dance, film, fashion, design, sculpture, experimentalism… on to infinity. We host special events, however, we do not want to be superimposed onto a label of being a typical club-type venue.
What we are doing is much more bohemian and the great thing about that is, we don’t really have a competition. Candace Meyer (owner)

We definitely have "a bigger picture" and it's so kinetic! A big goal of ours is to contribute to the growing “underground railroad” of traveling artisans. We want to help Independent bands and artists book shows in our region, as well as be able to house them while they’re in town. During their stay, we will help create bonds, as well as collaborate on projects with local talent, etc. This creates a fluidity in movement which can be beneficial for not only the artists involved, but for the correlating venues here because it will open doors for venue owners to always have new acts coming into town, fundamentally contributing to greater heights in Miami’s live entertainment. Hometown artists will of course benefit from networking with our guests… it’s always nice to have friends in different cities when on the road. GREY AREA’s heart is rooted with humanitarianism, a love for art and dynamic collective evolution. Since our vision is so scenic, it has been cause for a much more difficult business model, in which we’re still currently formatting. Anyone interested in contributing to our vision in any way, big or small, is greatly appreciated and welcome.
