Meet our Founder

Anai Fonte is a Miami-based artist, curator and founder of ARRAE. Her own art practice works across ceramics, textiles and cyanotype, often returning to themes of memory, place, family history and the feeling of home. ARRAE grew naturally out of that same sensitivity to objects, spaces and emotional connection.
After years of making work and thinking deeply about how art lives with people, Anai opened ARRAE to create a more approachable way to discover and collect original artwork. The gallery brings together emerging and established artists in a setting that feels thoughtful, personal and accessible.
Through ARRAE’s art advisory services, Anai also works one-on-one with collectors, homeowners, designers and businesses to source, place and curate artwork with intention. Whether someone is beginning a collection, finishing a room or rethinking an entire space, her approach is guided by feeling, scale, context and the belief that the right work can completely shift how a space is experienced.

Yesterday’s event with

Salinas demonstrated his creative process, showing works in progress and the materials and tools he uses. His art is a mixed-media practice with natural materials woven into it, such as palm fibers and sand. Each piece is crafted layer by layer, reflecting how time is a key component in his work.

GARUNDT is a Peruvian-born, Miami-based multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the connection between art and spirituality. His practice is distinguished by the use of mystic symbolism, religious motifs, and ritualistic repetition to transform color and shape into reminders of what exists beyond mind-made constructs.

Based in Miami and originally from Peru, Garundt approaches art through a multidisciplinary lens rather than committing to a single medium. For him, techniques and materials are distinct tools used in service of the same objective.

His work centers on the manipulation of form as a way of connecting to formlessness. Across mediums, he moves between symbolic language and repetition to shift visual elements from the profane toward the sacred, offering collectors work that is both contemplative and deeply intentional.

I was not prepared to have to make a video like this. Truly.

The artists and work we feature are so genuinely good that I naïvely thought Instagram would just… gobble it up. Like of course people would stop scrolling. Have you seen this art?

Instead, here I am following the advice of a viral content creator, which was not exactly part of the original gallery business plan but apparently this is where we are now. So here’s the formula:

✅ set up your camera and walk across it like a little lost gazelle
✅ slow the video down to exactly 7 seconds
✅ put way too much text over the video for anyone to actually read in 7 seconds
✅ choose random trending audio you’ve never heard before and even if it doesn’t match the vibe.
✅ make the text emotionally unresolved so people are forced into the caption looking for answers
✅ post it as a Reel and hope it was worth it.

Alright. Let’s see if this works.

If you’re new here, go poke around a bit. There’s some truly incredible work on this page by artists we care deeply about.

Go drop some likes there ❤️

Gilbert Salinas is a painter and printmaker whose work explores nature’s organic forms and the passage of time. He was born in Boston in 1972 and earned a bachelor’s degree in humanities focused on fine arts and painting at the University of Puerto Rico. He lives between Orlando, Florida and San Juan, Puerto Rico. His practice draws on natural evolution and aging planetary surfaces to explore consciousness instincts and emotional depth. He layers paint and print inks to build textured compositions that reflect human complexity. He has shown at Context Art Miami and Scope Miami Beach. He is now working on a series that examines time’s imprint on land and identity. Collectors value his work for its thoughtful engagement with nature and humanity.

This Saturday, May 16th, Materials & Process Demonstration with Gilbert Salinas

Join us in the gallery for an intimate afternoon with Gilbert Salinas. From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Gilbert will lead a materials and process demonstration while offering insight into the methods, experimentation, and physical language that inform his practice. Eunice Oghinan is a pastel artist whose dreamlike compositions explore grief, healing, and reconnection. Using soft layers of color and gentle, flowing forms, she creates scenes that offer comfort, reflection, and quiet wonder. After losing her mother in 2022, she returned to her art practice as a way to process emotion and create gentle spaces for others to feel. Working primarily in soft pastels, she blends pigment by hand to build intimate imagery centered on women, nature, and the inner world. Her visual influences include Odilon Redon’s mystical color work and Mary Cassatt’s tender, expressive figures. Oghinan hopes her work invites viewers to connect with their own stories of love, loss, and peace, offering each piece as a small refuge in a fast-moving world.
