VOLTA VOICES: Will Ramsay
"I had always admired VOLTA and when I heard it might be for sale, I jumped at the chance. [...] I hope that VOLTA will continue to be: An art community which people admire for its passionate people (gallerists, artists, and our VOLTA team), creative content (the art, special projects, relevance) and vibrant and nurturing ethos (professionalism, creativity, fun, caring). A stepping stone for some, and place of discovery for all, be they artists, gallerists or collectors. A relevant and valid platform in its own right, as well as one of the most established and respected satellite fairs." — Will Ramsay

This time, Kamiar Maleki talks to Will Ramsay, Founder of the Fair’s parent company Ramsay Fairs. Read the interview as they discuss Will Ramsay’s passion for art, his desire to make art more accessible and where he sees VOLTA’s position in the fair world.

Check out our official announcement on artnet! The inaugural VOLTA Miami edition will touch down at Mana Wynwood in Miami this December!

Ramsay Fairs is ending its long-running Pulse art fair and replacing it in Miami with Volta, hopefully starting in 2020.

We’ve got exciting news PULSE Patrons!

Ramsay Fairs’ acquisition of VOLTA Art Fair in 2019 sparked fresh ideas as we began to discuss in depth how best to grow and strengthen the brand. Coupling VOLTA’s foundations in Basel and New York with PULSE’s phenomenal legacy in Miami, the decision for the collective future couldn’t be clearer. Therefore, PULSE Art Fair, in its current form, will transition into VOLTA Miami and debut during the 2020 Miami Art Week!

We are very excited for this expansion! We will draw upon PULSE’s robust exhibitor and collector base, and match that with VOLTA’s international foundation and energy to make a splash in the Miami art scene. Likewise, we are thrilled to share our total rebranding of VOLTA and highlight our focus and dedication to our galleries, artists and their work.
