Winter Garden. Originally built as the Colosseum Roller Rink, the building was constructed of bricks taken from the former Elizabethtown High School. Patrons would come from surrounding communities to roller skate and socialize. Eventually music groups were featured and dances held in the rink. As the years progressed, skating became a less important focus as Winter Gardens became recognized as a regular stop on the national country music circuit. Thousands of people would come into normally quiet Elizabethtown, for drinking, eating and listening to the biggest names in country music. A collection of singers included: Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Conway Twitty, Ernest Tubb & the Texas Troubadours plus Jerry Lee Lewis sang here as well as many other well-known singers.

The band was chosen to play for President Harding at the Grand Centennial, held at the Point Pleasant, Ohio, birthplace of General and President U. S. Grant.
