Founded in 1954, the Library has over 20,000 books dating from the 16th–21st centuries. The Museum houses a permanent collection of over 1300 pieces and hosts exhibitions of Americ

Join English sculptor Nic Fiddian Green for an exclusive guided tour of his monumental exhibition at the NSLM on Saturday, September 12 at 12 pm!

Fiddian Green's work is driven by a constant and deeply rooted fascination with the spirit of the horse, and 𝑁𝑖𝑐 πΉπ‘–π‘‘π‘‘π‘–π‘Žπ‘› πΊπ‘Ÿπ‘’π‘’π‘›: π‘†π‘π‘–π‘Ÿπ‘–π‘‘π‘’π‘  πΈπ‘žπ‘’π‘’π‘  celebrates his vision with four monumental works installed outdoors, five medium-size works complementing the NSLM’s 𝑆𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑙 π‘Šπ‘Žπ‘‘π‘’π‘Ÿ in the main first-floor gallery, and 17 sculptures and 7 drawings upstairs. π‘†π‘π‘–π‘Ÿπ‘–π‘‘π‘’π‘  πΈπ‘žπ‘’π‘’π‘  is the first retrospective of Fiddian Green's work, and several of the works have never been on public view before.

Space is limited and this tour is exclusively for NSLM Members.

🐾 Mark your calendar for this year's Interfaith Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 4!

Bring your animal companions and join us on the NSLM Lawn from 2–3 pm for a service and blessing by ministers from various faith communities in the Middleburg area, sponsored by Salamander Middleburg and the Middleburg Library. Dogs, cats, gerbils, fish, horses, livestock, hounds, teddy bears, and every other beloved companion are welcome!

This Sunday, pick up some charcoal and spend an afternoon drawing in the Museum with local artist Patty Craighill! 🎨

Come participate in a charcoal drawing activity inspired by the NSLM’s current exhibitions on Sunday, August 30 from 2–4 pm. With decades of experience working in charcoal, watercolor, and oil, Patty brings a deep appreciation for the landscapes, gardens, and horse farms of Virginia’s Piedmont to her work.
