Update on our Annual Fundraiser - Halfway to our annual goal with over $5,000 donated so far and still coming in! The generosity of our members, supporters and Middletown businesses is incredible. We're sending individual letters of thanks, but I wanted to thank everyone publicly. The money you contribute will allow us to continue our mission of preserving stories of military service. Thank you!

Fathers & Sons. Military Service often runs in families, with sons, daughters, and grandchildren serving. Here in Middletown, we take that a step farther with fathers and sons serving at the same time. James Bruggan of 69 Union Street in Middletown joined the Navy in 1941 and served on a PT Boat in New Guinea, New Britain and Leyte. His father William C. Bruggan enlisted in April 1944 and became a ship's cook aboard the USS Arkansas. They met aboard the Arkansas for a photo in late 1944 or early 1945.
