Our Movie Club returns with Three Came Home (1950)! The movie is based on the memoir of the same name by Anges Newton Keith. They tell the story of her experience in a prison camp following the Japanese invasion of North Borneo in modern day Malaysia. Our meeting is on September 19th at 10 AM in the Visitors Center.

We had a great first night of the 1950s Science Club!!🔬

We learned all about the invention of the color television, the earliest televisions (mechanical), and even played around with a very rudimentary mechanical television with a craft that will help them make their own at home in between meetings. Today is Leukemia Awareness Day

George & Barbara Bush lost their second child, Pauline "Robin," to Leukemia in 1953. Her tragic passing deeply impacted the Bush Family and inspired them to become lifelong advocates for childhood cancer research.

Next week we commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attack with a ceremony. A moment of silence for the lives lost will be held along with stories from those who were affected by the day as well. The stories were collected over the past year from our visitors.
