Atkinson Heritage Center

Atkinson Heritage Center ATKINSON HERITAGE CENTER The Atkinson Heritage Center is the 1955 historic home of W. P. "Bill" Atkinson, the founder of Midwest City.

The Center is now owned by Rose State College Foundation and maintained by Rose State College as a historic community resource and meeting facility. The home is maintained as it was built and designed in 1955, with original furnishings and decor, and is open for tours by appointment (no charge, donations accepted). The house conference room, which seats about 30 people and has wi-fi access, can be

rented at reasonable rates for business meetings or other small events. The property also includes the Atkinson Pony Barn, formerly the home to dozens of Shetland ponies, now an enclosed and updated informal event center available for reasonable rental. Each former pony stall contains a historical display from Midwest City, one of the surrounding communities, or a civic organization. The air conditioned barn conference room can hold up to 50 people at 6 round tables and includes a kitchen for food staging (no cooking on the property). The whole barn (conference room and stall area combined) can hold about 100 people. It's a great place for a family reunion, church social, or bar-b-que dinner!!
