JUST ANNOUNCED | Opening April 9, “Water’s Edge: The Art of Truman Lowe,” is the first major retrospective of the acclaimed Hoocąk (Ho-Chunk) artist Truman Lowe bringing together nearly 50 sculptures, drawings, and paintings from across his career. See how Lowe transformed willow, wood, feathers, and other materials into remarkably fluid forms that evoke waterfalls, streams, canoes, and Woodland structures.

The exhibition was organized by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian and curated by Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art Rebecca Head Trautmann.
