The idea is to showcase the heart of each city we photograph. We feel that the only way to do that is to walk the street with our cameras and spend time in the alleys and the dark corners. We are extremely proud of the images that result from our time on the streets and have a great time while doing it. After we have walked the city, we let the images sit for a bit. We get a little distance from t
hem. We feel this gives us great perspective. We then choose and highlight the images that add character and depth to the city. We then build custom, one of a kind frames for the images using mostly reclaimed or salvaged materials. We collaborate through the entire process. Bouncing frame ideas off each other and pushing each other helps us create the best collection possible. We started this process in Milwaukee in 2012 have since brought this philosophy to another city- Eau Claire (Our home town). The result has been amazing. We plan to bring this process to other cities in the future, as well. We will always spend our time every year in the Milwaukee, where it all started. Because, this is where industrial materials, architectural imagery and creativity first came together and got this process initiated.
