In MORNING VISIT, Charles Munch invites us into a quietly surreal domestic scene where the familiar meets the unexpected. Through bold color, simplified forms, and imaginative details, Munch transforms an ordinary moment into a world of mystery and possibility. His paintings are on display from October 16 - November 28 at Tory Folliard Gallery in his solo exhibition “Seeking a Way.”

The title of Fred Stonehouse’s upcoming exhibition comes from the Argentinian magical realist writer Jorge Luis Borges’ book “The Book of Imaginary Beings,” first published in 1957. On his creative inspiration, Stonehouse states that “as work on the show progressed, I came to the realization that I wasn’t interested in creating illustrations, but it was Borges’ broader sense of imaginative play based in deep research that I was hoping to manifest.”

We hope you can join us for Fred Stonehouse’s artist reception on Friday, September 11 from 5-7:30 PM.
