🌱 Studio Saturdays: JUNE SCHEDULE 🌱

Every Saturday this year we're hosting free demonstrations in the studio. Here's the schedule for June 2026. We scheduled out the month in advance to give anyone a heads up if there's a topic that interests you more than something else. But anyone is welcome at any time, during any week!

Pop in for studio demonstrations if you're interested in clay, art, or just learning about the processes in general.

The gallery is also open all day every Saturday (and every day too!) 🎉

✨ Saturday Pottery Demonstrations ✨

Today's make: Earrings!

Each of our signature earrings starts off its journey in the pottery studio where we make and pattern all the clay discs. After that, the pottery components are fired and Diana and Claire handpick all the "additional" components to make each pair unique. No two pairs are ever the same.

Today, the pottery components are fired and we're adding bits and pieces and assembling matching pairs.

If you're interested to learn more or watch how our signature earrings come together – pop in for demonstrations this afternoon. Gallery is open all day too. Feel free to browse our selection of completed earrings while you're in.. or check them out online too!

Gallery Night is next weekend already! We're featuring a new exhibit, "Moving the Herd", a group of original paintings by local artist Bruce Fortney. All paintings are from his personal collection!

"Moving the Herd" brings a lively collection celebrating rural life. Cows, tractors, and other classic farm scenes with price tags that are PRICED TO MOVE (so Bruce can move!)

During Gallery night weekend we're offering an additional 10% pieces from the "Moving the Herd" collection. If you've had your eye on getting a painting, it's very much the perfect chance to take one home with a smaller price tag than Bruce's paintings are normally priced.

Wander the gallery and see where the herd takes you. Treats and light refreshments out at 5pm during the opening reception!

Saturday Pottery Demonstrations!

Today we're working on wheel thrown mugs!

Wheel throwing day is always a really fun day in any pottery studio. Watching a clump of clay turn into a shape right before your eyes is a mesmerizing thing. No matter how many times you've watched someone throw on a wheel it never seems to get old and it's an interesting activity to take in. Clay is magic like that.

If you're interested to learn more or watch wheel throwing in person – pop in for demonstrations this afternoon. Gallery is open all day too.

Friends and dog lovers: It's National Rescue Dog Day! 🐕

We absolutely couldn't let today slip by without a shout out to our best boy, Barley! We love him so much.

He's an enthusiastic studio assistant, a watcher in the upstairs window, and always keen to go on a field trip to the kilns, the yard, or the upstairs pool table where he can keep an eye on the parking lot and the general outside happenings. He even makes his own pottery sometimes using his paws as texturing instruments! 🐾 😅

Next time you stop by and are standing in the parking lot, check the upstairs window (just up and left from the front door). He loves to hang out there and watching the day unfold!

Give those dogs a squeeze today (and every day!) 💖

Saturday Pottery Demonstrations!

More glazing today. After spending the winter months making, making, making and more making the next steps in this operation is ✨ more glazing ✨

Today we're tackling tumblers, pitchers, and maybe a few other things. But mainly tumblers and pitchers.

New Maruca bags just hit the shelves! 💃🏻

All Maruca bags are made only with Jacquard fabrics, which means that the fabric patterns are woven using a special loom. Mauruca is a women-owned and woman-run business and maintains a small design studio located near Denver, Colorado where every bag is still hand-cut, hand-sewn, and never mass produced.

Why we love them: The quality! The abundance of pockets! The fabrics and the super sturdy zippers!

We've loved these bags for years and would 10/10 recommend them to anyone looking for a great bag. We cram our day to day "purse items" in there to the brim and they can take the abuse - we're here to say!

Saturday Pottery Demonstrations!

We're making porcelain blates. Blates are our fav and we use them every single day. Always for breakfast with egg scrambles!

All Blates start off their journey on the slab roller. Then they make their way to the work table where they're textured, shaped, and left to dry before they head to their first firing down the road. Today we're working on the "they've make their way to the work table and now it's time to make them" stage.
