Happy World Bicycle Day!

Today bicycles are a favored children's toy and a favorite transportation method for people who would like to leave a green footprint. However, in Thurber bicycles were revolutionary! Bicycles made transportation a breeze. They allowed for daily travel over a distance of miles further than what people had gone before. You can find images of the Thurber Bicycle Club in the museum if you know where to look! I wonder if any of these men participated in the Thurber bicycle races?

Hello All!

The Blue Star Museum season has started again. The Blue Star Museum program is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families. This program offers free admission to the nations active-duty military personnel and their families. This also includes the National Guard and Reserve. The W. K. Gordon Museum also extends participation in this program to our Veterans as well!

The program lasts from Armed Forces Day, May 16, 2026, to Labor Day, September 7, 2026.
