You’re invited to a year-end celebration at PF!

“How Does it Feel?” is a nod to the artistic legacy of D’Angelo, and we’ve asked two of the best DJ’s in Minneapolis to embody the sound of that era for the night.

Dance parties have always been an important part of PF culture, and it’s been too long since we’ve thrown a proper one. So, in the reflective spirit of the year’s end, and all that lies ahead, we invite our community of artists and dreamers to a sexy shindig at PF.

Tickets are sliding scale starting at: $5.
Pay what you can. All proceeds continue to support PF programming in 2026.

Silent Fox is sitting down with us for an artist talk on My flowers died; so I’ll bury them and plant new ones.

We’ll gather in gallery #247 to talk about the stories, grief, & renewal woven through this body of work — and the process behind creating a space for reflection, inheritance, and imagining what we plant next.
studio is a Minnesota-based visual artist, designer, and muralist whose community-rooted practice explores reflection, healing, and the emotional landscapes we inherit. Their debut solo exhibition, My flowers died; so I’ll bury them and plant new ones, uses painting, print, and virtual reality to examine how grief and learned patterns move through families like roots underground—asking what we keep watering, and what we choose to plant anew.

Artist Talk with Silent Fox: Saturday, Dec 6 at 4PM
Location: 1500 Jackson St NE #144, Minneapolis, MN 55413

Don’t forget: both Silent Fox’s My flowers died; so I’ll bury them and plant new ones and PF Studios’ Venus Reincarnated are closing this weekend.

Things worth fighting for: space to find yourself within.

For the past month and a half we have been raising funds to ensure the stability of Public Functionary a platform for artists and community building. Our fundraiser ends tomorrow Dec 1 and we are so close!

An anonymous match donor believes deeply in the work PF is doing. They have pledged to match up to $15,000 in community donations... meaning WE ARE ALMOST THERE!!!

If you are considering a donation, today’s a perfect moment! Your gift will go twice as far thanks to the match. Be part of something that’s already moving in a big way. Join us! We appreciate your support.

A huge thank you to everyone who has gotten us this far.

The studio is a space of liberation.

In describing the underpinnings of her ground-breaking work, New York artist Torkwase Dyson talks about creating architectures of “spatial survival” as an act of resistance to the broader racialized and extractive culture. Direct pathways for self-determination and agency are possible within her envisioned structures.

This concept is central to the visionary impulse of PF Studios. The studios offer not only a physical space in which to make art and connect in community, but they also provide the conditions necessary for activating freedom and transformation.

In a city where whiteness and those with wealth dominate access and fill most spaces, creating a dedicated space for young BIPOC artists is a profound, revolutionary act.

-Shana Kaplow, an excerpt from “In Here Out There: 5 Years of PF Studios.”

HAPPY GIVE TO THE MAX DAY!
PF is 1/3 of the way to our fundraising goal! Will you help us get even further?
