We are exhausted. My team has cooked 3,000 pieces of fry bread, brewed nearly 600 gallons of coffee and made 400 gallons of soup in the last month.

Yet we will be back tomorrow and the next day. We thank everyone, especially the observers and the protesters. The amount of generosity displayed has left me in tears at times, the thank you letters, the supplies, the little ones helping their parents, all of it is so amazing

After 30 days of this struggle we see the little arguments, the crabbiness. Remember to humble yourself and take some time to get grounded.

I know we got this.

🚨BREAKING: 5-Year-Old Detained in Minnesota Boards Plane Home After Judge Orders Release

Five-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and his father, Adrian Conejo Arias, boarded a plane this morning, finally heading back to Minneapolis after days in federal detention in Texas.

The pair were taken into custody after Liam arrived home from preschool and were sent to a detention facility in Dilley, despite having a pending asylum case and no deportation order. They were held until Fred Biery ordered their release, sharply criticizing the government’s actions.

The judge said the case showed how deportation quotas were being prioritized over basic human decency, even when it meant traumatizing children. DHS claimed ICE did not target a child, despite Liam being detained alongside his father.

After national attention and legal pressure, they were released and flew home this morning, with Joaquin Castro joining them in support.

“I’m happy to finally be going home,” Arias said.
