Today I attended the funeral for my cousin Laura. It was a beautiful tribute to a woman who faced many challenges throughout her life, yet never let those challenges define her. The message shared again and again was simple and powerful: our lives are not measured by medical diagnoses or hardships, but by who we love and who loves us.
Story after story reflected Laura’s legacy of love for people, animals, and for her community. Music was a passion. Purple and Prince were among some of her favorite things. Those small and meaningful details painted such a vivid picture of who she is.

I feel proud to be related to someone who leaves behind such a profound legacy. To be remembered as a good listener, someone who loved to laugh, and a fierce supporter of family and friends is something truly sacred.
When I think of Laura, I will remember that in the end it is love that matters most; the love we give and the love we receive.
Holding her parents, sisters, friends, and family close in my heart today.
Be gentle with one another. Love and kindness are powerful medicines. 💜 This post ís to honor Laura and her family.
