General information
The Ghost Hunters Society is a small, not-for-profit, group whose aim is to research and document paranormal phenomena. As opportunity allows, we attempt to make our methods and findings accessible to the public, through informal talks, lectures, and print. Client confidentiality is our credo, as we recognize a certain level of sensitivity on the field we pursue, and that some individuals may not wish their experiences made public. We are not ‘exorcists’ or ‘ghost-buster’ (although once banished a ghost without intending to do so-an occupational hazard). Our investigations may, however, assist owners or occupants of properties by legitimizing experiences that may otherwise be difficult to share. While this is a field in which no guarantees can be made, investigations may also aid in identifying the source of a haunting. We claim no answers to the age-old question: what exactly is a ghost? We do acknowledge that paranormal entities exist, and approach the study of them systematically and with open minds. The Society provides an arena for those wishing to discuss paranormal events, as our experience shows that most people, if not witnesses themselves, know someone else who has witnessed an unexplainable event. Lead Investigator: Rick Hagen has been a paranormal investigator for over 30 years. His investigations are conducted primarily in England including haunted airfields, and the US. Rick is an author of books about his England experiences and has a repetoire ghost talks he gives at the John H. Stevens House museum each year. Mr. Hagen attended Arthur Findlay College in Stansted England which is an institution that takes an academic approach the "psychic sciences". Associate Investigator: Jeanne Kretchmer has been a paranormal investigator and Rick Hagen's associate since 2000. Her interest in the "psychic realm" and the paranormal begain in her early teens. Jeanne completed the "Introduction to the Paranormal" given by the University of Scotland-Edinburough, Koehler Institute. She is also a haunting documentor, sitting facilitator, and gives ghost talks at the JHSH museum.
