We are delighted to announce Manor Mill Playhouse's Fall 2026 production:

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
Adapted by John Heimbuch & Jon Ferguson, based on the story by Washington Irving
Directed by Vanessa Eskridge

Join us for auditions at Oldfields School located at 1500 Glencoe Rd, Sparks MD on the following dates:
1) Monday June 15, from 6 - 9 pm
2) Wednesday June 17, from 6 - 9 pm
* Callbacks will be on Monday June 22, 6 - 9 pm and possibly (if needed) Tuesday June 23, 6 - 9 pm

NOTE: If you are unable to attend these dates, please contact [email protected] to discuss making an alternate arrangement.

Rehearsals will commence in August and will be held on 2-3 weeknights and one weekend morning or afternoon at Manor Mill and/or Oldfields School. Please bring all rehearsal conflicts to your audition. $100 Stipends will be provided to all actors after the show closes.

HIS THURSDAY, folk rock duo Clover's Curfew will be bringing their high energy sound to the Loft!

A distinct sound was born when two worlds collided. In 2019, Punk Rock frontman Jameson Jenkins and Folk Rock artist Danni Christian, a couple now married merged their musical histories to become Clover’s Curfew.

The result is an explosive fusion of folk’s deep rooted heartache and punk’s ferocious, unapologetic fury. This is not a band for the faint of heart. Clover’s Curfew wraps all of its love and rage into a tightly packed show.

Their electric live performances are a testament to their DIY ethos, a powerful and raw energy that electrifies every venue, from the legendary stages like The Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas to the cobblestone streets of Galway, Ireland.

If you saw smoke rising from behind the Mill last week, no need to be alarmed—it was just Chef Jerry and Chef Daniel teaching the Outdoor Grilling Seminar!

Class participants learned all the secrets to grilling the perfect steak, how to marinate and smoke meats, and of course they got to taste everything along with curated wine pairings.

Our gardens have been loving the rain!

The rain gardens in front of the mill, installed last year by Gunpowder Valley Conservancy, are filled with native plants and work to filter rainwater before it reruns to the Charles Run. Thanks to our friends at GVC for making the mill greener and more beautiful! 💚

Come visit us and enjoy the gardens and Faerie Trail anytime we’re open, Wednesdays to Sundays 12-6pm.

Join us for an open discussion regarding the aspects and effects of Artificial Intelligence on an artist’s life and art creation in our modern world. Bring your curiosity and artistic experience to share and consider among other creators.

Whether you are an expert or know very little about the AI, this meeting is an open and safe space to learn from one another, express thoughts and opinions, and navigate this expansive subject with a group of artists.

The discussion will be moderated by Bo Willse (Manor Mill Tech Consultant & Resident Philosopher) and Angelo Otterbein (Manor Mill Proprietor). Our Artist Meet-Ups welcome artists of any medium, small business owners, and creators of all styles. We hope you can join us for this night of discussion!

MMPH Company Member Wendy Snow Walker hosts our June 8 Masterclass and brings us a deep dive into the play "Majorie Prime" by Jordan Harrison. A 2015 Pulitzer Prize finalist, "Majorie Prime" explores the complexities of the AI phenomenon amidst the aging, death and dying process.

Upon registration, we will provide you a copy of the script, and, like a book club, participants should come prepared to discuss the play. On the night of, we will watch a few pinnacle short scenes read from the play. Then, in the second hour, Wendy will present to us as a production designer, with her vision for a set design focusing on the futuristic elements impacting the soul of the play. Our audience will have the opportunity to discuss the play, the readings, and production design process, and offer feedback throughout.

If you are a lover of the theatre, a designer, or interested in the process of how these elements move from page to stage, this is a Masterclass you won't want to miss! Masterclass is free and open to the public. Register for your spot and receive a copy of the script today!
