It was such a pleasure to welcome Congressman Glenn Ivey to worship with us last Sunday at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church. His visit and reflections on the powerful history within these walls were truly appreciated.

“Spent this morning at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once pastored. It was a powerful service, and the mural tour reflecting Dr. King’s journey served as a reminder of the history within those walls and how far we’ve come.” — Rep. Glenn Ivey

Thank you, Congressman Ivey, for joining us and honoring the legacy, faith, and continued work of our community.

Yesterday, we were honored to welcome Roland Martin to Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church as he recorded his show in front of this historic landmark. It was a wonderful moment highlighting the rich history and continued impact of our city.

Pictured left to right: Elizabeth Monroe, Wanda Anderson, Roland Martin, and Angelisa Kennedy. We’re grateful for the opportunity to showcase Montgomery on such a meaningful platform!

ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE STATE CAPITOL! LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD AND STAND FOR WHAT IS RIGHT!

The fight for democracy is directly tied to the fight for Black political power.

The Supreme Court may have gutted the Voting Right Act, but those who came before us never gave up on the fight for equal representation— and neither will we. We are showing up this Saturday in Montgomery to declare our power and organize for the work ahead. ✊🏾

Testimony from The Vine Church: We were honored to visit Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church and it was truly a wonderful experience. To see an intimate portrait of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. not just as a leader, but as a pastor, husband, and father was incredibly powerful. Moments like this deepen our understanding of his legacy and the faith that shaped it.

From Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, we recognize that Mental Health Awareness Month is more than a moment ; it’s a movement.

Take care of yourself. Check on someone. Start the conversation. Encourage support.

This month, we’re calling on our community to lead with compassion and show up for one another! Mental health matters every single day. 💚

Today’s Supreme Court decision on redistricting is a setback—but it is not the end of our story.

In Montgomery, we know what it means to fight for fair representation. And we will continue to stand, speak, and act to ensure every voice is heard.

We will not be silenced!
