The Flexible Flyer Sled Museum at the Moorestown Public Library was established in the winter of 2015 as a permanent exhibit showing 26 Flexible Flyer sleds produced from 1890 to 2014. In addition to showcasing these sleds to the public the museum also has a collection of Flexible Flyer sled and S.L. The hours of the Museum are the same hours of operation of the public library : Monday thru Thursd

ay 9 -9, Friday and Saturday 9-5 and closed Sunday. Hours are subject to the Moorestown Library's hours of operation.

In the 1880s, Samuel Leeds Allen reinvented winter with the Flexible Flyer, a sled runners that riders could steer. A self-taught inventor, Allen knew he’d hit it big when the kids told him so.

It has been a great month for sledding in New Jersey following several snowstorms. This is especially true for the few people who are still riding the old wooden Flexible Flyer sleds.
