10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Group rates available.

General Information:
The Kanabec History Center is located in East Central Minnesota on Mora’s west side just two miles from state highways 65 and 23. Although close to the city’s main business district, the Center is situated on 37 acres bordered by the Snake River. In addition to the historic exhibits, this beautiful woodland site provides ample opportunity to enjoy Minnesota’s parade of season

Hello all! We need your help, we have recieved an inquiry about a round barn being located within the vicinity of Mora, specifically near the nursing home. The man who built the barn was Fred Henkel. If you remember this or have a photo we would appreciate if you could share it!

KHC has re-painted their Rental Hall! A huge Thank You to Ace Hardware, and Zimmerman's for their advice, support, donations of the paint, and their time given to the History Center!! We also want to thank our Board Members for helping with the painting project materials, time painting, etc. We can't thank you all enough for your involvement and help on this project - it turned out great!! THANK YOU!!!

March marks Women's History Month, with March 8th being International Women's Day.
Today we honor Ms. Ollie Serline, who served in U.S. Women's Army Corp in 1943 until the end of WW2.
Ollie served at Walter Reed Hospital and overseas in a special intelligence section. When she was discharged she worked in Tokyo, Japan with Supreme Allied Powers. She died April 5, 1984 in Cambridge, MN with interment at the United States National Cemetery, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. You can read more about her life in her memoir, "Guarded Steps", at the Kanabec History Center
