Morehead Railroad & Historical Museum Young or old, Railroader or not, there is something for everyone at the Morehead Railroad & Historic Museum. Take a tour through the past.

Built in 1881 by the Elizabethtown, Lexington and Big Sandy Railroad this building is the oldest commercial structure in Rowan County. Originally serving both freight and passenger needs it was purchased by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad in 1892. In 1904, when the nearby passenger station was completed, it began servicing freight only.
