Q: What is MnemeTherapy®? (pronounced “nemma”)
A: MnemeTherapy® is a cutting-edge whole brain therapy for individuals with brain disorders or injuries such as stroke victims, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, MCI, Pick's disease, (Frontotemporal dementia), Lewy Body disease, head trauma, children and adults with Asperger Syndrome, PDD, ADD, ADHD, Autism, and Cerebral Palsy. "MnemeTherapy® is getting information FROM the brain and giving information TO the brain." MnemeTherapy® uses everyday pleasures such as singing, movement, painting, and story telling in a unique combination to stimulate dramatic changes in the brain. Although our goal is to provide a rewarding experience, documented testimonies show significant improvement in some clients in verbal skills, mobility, combativeness, spatial acuity, understanding instructions plus much more! "It’s the ACT of painting, not the painting itself that does the work of reorienting the brain through multiple meanings of communication.
