EJArtMover and EJ Art Tours of the Hamptons evolved out of Sculpturescapes, which evolved out of Artscapes, a company started by Eric Johnson in 1993 on the East End of Long Island, NY. Artscapes produced large outdoor sculpture shows as well as provided art services such as delivery, installation, crating, shipping, and representation. When Eric moved from New York to New Hampshire he figured he
was done with the art business. Well, he wasn’t. In 2004 the board at The Fells in Newbury, NH, where he was working as a gardener, asked him to do a sculpture show as a fundraiser for The Fells. In 2005 the show featured 27 artists exhibiting 40 outdoor pieces and 80 indoors. Based on this huge success another show was planned for 2007, “Go Figure.” This show featured over 30 artists exhibiting more than 100 sculptures throughout house and grounds of The Fells. It was an even bigger hit. A third show, "Animal Attractions," was a phenomenal hit -- raising huge amounts of money through the sale of almost all of the pieces. Sculpturescapes also co-produced the community based art project “Gnus of Gnu London” in the summer of 2009. Currently Sculpturescapes provides all the sculpture for the Banks Gallery/Fine Arts Center on Main Street New London, NH. Another venue for sculpture is the gardens at the New London Inn also located on Main Street New London, NH. Now that Eric has moved back to the Hamptons, Sculpturescapes continues to provide professional art services to artists, galleries, collectors, museums, and foundations near and far.
