James Morris Museum & Aline Brothier Reading Room The Official Page for the Reading Room and Museum featuring artifacts belonging to the Morris family.

The Museum, the Reading Room and all of their contents were gifted to the town of Morris by the Aline Brothier Morris Fund on January 19, 1935, the anniversary of James Morris' birth. These rooms contain heirlooms and personal artifacts belonging to the Morris family and include family portraits and photographs, Robert Clark Morris' scrapbooks, military medals, fine art and sterling silver tea set

s. The museum is arranged with furnishings belonging to Aline Brothier Morris, arranged to resemble her New York City home. The Reading Room features space for patrons to use for study, meetings and free events. Within the Reading Room are also reference materials by local Morris authors, historical documents and a rotating display used by the Morris Historical Society. Information on James Morris and his family are available to read and a knowledgeable curator is available to answer questions.
