It is a 2024 Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Awards Winner and part of the Morrison-Golden Fossil Areas National Natural Landmark. A world-class dinosaur tracksite with more than 250 dinosaur footprints to explore. The tracks were made during the Cretaceous Period (100 million years ago) and are right where the dinosaurs left them, though the environment has changed dramatically since that time. Als

o see a few dozen dinosaur bones dating to the Jurassic Period (150 million years ago) from Stegosaurus (Colorado's State Fossil), Apatosaurus (formerly known as Brontosaurus), and the meat-eating dinosaur Allosaurus. Come explore our fossils with your friends and family! Paleontologists have ranked this the #1 dinosaur tracksite in America. PLEASE NOTE: Main Visitor Center and Discovery Center parking lots close and are locked at 5 p.m. Dinosaur Ridge Trail itself is open sunrise to sunset and has limited parking at each entry where you are welcome to park before and after our operating hours.

The countdown is almost over… Deep Time Detour officially opens THIS WEEKEND at The Martin G Lockley Discovery Center at Dino Ridge near Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre Entrance 1! 🦖✨🌎

Step into 300 million years of Colorado history with towering dinosaurs, immersive prehistoric scenes, touchable exhibits, giant underwater reptiles, Ice Age creatures, and more. 🌿🦕 From stegosaurus and triceratops to ancient coastlines and underwater worlds, this is a one-of-a-kind experience the whole family will love!

Join us Saturday morning for the grand opening celebration, with a food truck on-site from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and plenty of Memorial Day Weekend fun at Dinosaur Ridge. Opening weekend also kicks off the FREE RTD Westracks shuttle, making it even easier to visit Dinosaur Ridge all summer long! 🚌⛰️
