International Steampunk City

International Steampunk City Experience life during the early years of the Industrial Revolution and dawn of a new era in communi Morristown: A place of great historical importance. G.

And extremely serious-looking statues.

“What really matters is what you do with what you have.” – H. Wells

(NOTE: Unless you're connected with Steam City or are a Morristown business, please ask permission before posting any advertisements here, including links to crowdfund Steampunk projects or to listen to your band. We're interested in those thing, but please message us first.) Steampunk is a

whimsical genre based around the Age of Steam. Steam City is a little like a Renaissance Faire, only focused on a 19th-century world of mad science and madcap adventure. All are welcome!! Come dressed any way you’d like – and you don’t need to know anything special or be part of any group or organization. Come out, bring your family, have some fun, meet nice people, and support a fantastic cause! Last year, we experimented with the first Steam City in this part of the world. And it was tons of fun! Plus, we got to benefit a really great place. Historic Speedwell isn’t the best-known landmark in the country, or even in New Jersey; it’s not the fanciest park, or the biggest, and this is a time of tough budgets all around. But one thing every visitor to Speedwell seems to talk about is how friendly everyone there is, and how interesting it is, not just as a museum and historic site, but also as a place to spend some time. We’d love to make our little festival into a big one. We’d love to see if we can show a good time to hundreds of people, and we’d love to make next year’s event bigger and add extra razzle-dazzle and flare. And to do that, we need your help!

To our attendees:

We regretfully announce that ISC will not be happening this year.

There comes a time in every company where one thing must take priority over something else.
That thing is a new show we added to our line up - Voltaire's Wicked Necrocomicon September 18-20, 2015 at the Radisson Piscataway.

Unfortunately, that means that something had to give.
We found that we couldn't devote the time and energy that was required to International Steampunk City.

We encourage you to check out our other events, including our flagship event, The Steampunk World's Fair, May 15-17, 2015, and Voltaire Wicked's Necrocomicon - a horror/macabre art and music convention like no other, September 18-20, 2015!
