We graciously received a box of pictures taken by Mr. John Demic from the 1980's and 1990's at Maineville Elementary. This is just one of many pictures. Do you recognize yourself or anyone else? It looks like it might have been Grandparents Day.

The 2026 Major League Baseball regular season is underway and with our Reds in first place in the NL Central Division we wanted to celebrate America’s pastime by sharing a recent postcard given to us by Cynthia Boyton of the local “All Star” team including Steve Phillips, Doctor Bullock, Hol’s Hyles, E.P. Krohns, Bruce Wallace, Walter Parker, Roland Hyles, John Parker, Walter Miranda and Syler Whitacre.

From the setting, the cars and the uniforms the picture appears to be form mid-1910’s.

Does anyone recognize these players? Can anyone share additional details on this team?

We're fortunate to have this Symphonola phonograph in our collection. The information from the donor is it was purchased from Sears & Roebuck in the early 1920's and provided the family "much enjoyment." We also have a collection of records for this phonograph. You can view these at our upcoming Open House on Wednesday, April 29th, 6:00-8:00 pm. Did your family have a phonograph like this?

Last week we had a photo of the 1948-49 Morrow High School boys basketball team. Here is the 1926-27 Morrow High School girls basketball team. The story around this team is they were so good the other area teams refused to play them. Based on their determined faces and the two large trophies we're inclined to believe this! Do you recognize any of these ladies? What sport dominated when you were in school?
