Super exciting news from a new Moundsville business. Here is the official press release from Sheetz:

Earlier this week, Sheetz officially broke ground on its first-ever location in Marshall County, marking an exciting milestone for the convenience chain. Below are two official media statements reflecting on this milestone. The first is from Nick Ruffner, Public Affairs Manager for Sheetz, and the second is from Rick Healy, Moundsville City Manager.

Nick Ruffner: “Today, Sheetz is excited to announce that construction is officially underway on its first-ever location in Marshall County, located in Moundsville, West Virginia. As a company, we are eager to become a true part of the Moundsville community and bring our all-in-one destination to residents.

The store will offer customers a restaurant-style experience with self-service kiosks, indoor and outdoor seating, and an award-winning menu of Sheetz’s Made-To-Order (MTO®) food and premium beverages. Customers will also enjoy free internet, clean touch-free restrooms, and 24/7/365 service. Sheetz will employ approximately 30–35 team members at this location.

The 6,132-square-foot store, which will be able to accommodate up to 10 vehicles fueling at once, is tentatively scheduled to open next summer. The store’s official address will be 209 Lafayette Ave., Moundsville, West Virginia 26041.”

Rick Healy: “The city is extremely happy to see Sheetz coming to our community. Their brand is so recognizable and will change the landscape of Lafayette Avenue. This is one of the most anticipated new businesses in memory, and we look forward to a long-time partnership with Sheetz!”

It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of, David Eric Blair.
David sat on our board and was very passionate about our Fostoria Glass Museum.
David was always willing to jump in and help where he was needed. And oh how he loved to decorate the front porch with beautiful flower arraignments.
He cared deeply, not only about our collection, but about our staff, our volunteers, and every person who walked through the museum doors..
We are heartbroken, but so incredibly grateful for the time, and love David gave to FGSA.
