Today, we pause to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.

While many spend the day with family, cookouts, and celebrations, Memorial Day is first and foremost a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

Their courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

From all of us at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History we extend our deepest gratitude to the heroes who gave their lives for our freedom and to the families who carry their memory each day. 🇺🇸

We remember. We honor. We thank you.
