🌭❤️ A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS! ❤️🍦

Last week, we had such a wonderful time celebrating the people who help make the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History possible, our amazing members!

Our 2026 Membership Hotdog Social was filled with good food, ice cream, great conversations, and even better company. Seeing so many familiar faces gathered together reminded us just how fortunate we are to have such a supportive Museum family.

To everyone who attended, thank you for spending the evening with us! And to ALL of our members, thank you for your continued membership and support. Your involvement helps us preserve, share, and celebrate the history of our region for generations to come.

The Mount Airy Museum of Regional History was thrilled to celebrate The Balladeer Hotel’s official ribbon-cutting yesterday! ✂️🏨

It’s always exciting to see new life, new investment, and new opportunities come to our community. The Balladeer is a beautiful addition to Mount Airy, and we’re excited to welcome the visitors it will bring to our downtown and our local attractions.

🗺️✨ THIS IS THE WAY: A STUDY IN MAPS ✨🧭

A brand-new journey has arrived at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History!

We are excited to welcome “This Is the Way: A Study in Maps,” a special exhibition featuring the work of artists from Piedmont Craftsmen.

But these aren’t your ordinary maps! 👀

Artists were challenged to explore what a “map” can really mean. Their creations take inspiration from directions, journeys, migration patterns, history, topography, genealogy, weather, space and even “maps of the heart.” Each artist took the idea in their own direction, creating pieces designed to make you think, smile, and see maps in an entirely new way. 🎨🗺️

Originally exhibited at Piedmont Craftsmen Gallery in Winston-Salem, we’re thrilled to now bring this creative collection to Downtown Mount Airy!
