More than a collection of historic buildings, Mount Gretna reflects a broader American story — from the iron industry and early transportation networks to educational movements, religious gatherings, preservation efforts, and the evolution of community life.
By walking these historic paths together, we not only explore the past, but help preserve the stories, places, and traditions that continue to make Mount Gretna unlike anywhere else. The Mount Gretna Area Historical Society is proud to share these stories through guided tours, museum collections, oral histories, history on the porch conversations, research archives, educational programs, and preservation efforts throughout the community.
Join us this afternoon (6/14) from 1pm - 2pm and stroll through history with us.
