Married couple Ashley and Chris Kuhler are first generation farmers who fell in love with each other at the same time that they fell in love with farming, through their leadership as state officers in the FFA growing up.

Now the Kuhlers maintain a large garden and grow pasture-raised chicken to feed their family on their one acre homestead. They host occasional canning workshops in their home and throughout the community – but what this beloved business is known for best is their stunning flowers! 🌷🪻🌻

Shady Hill cultivates flowers which is their specialty, sold at farmer’s markets, fashioned for special events like weddings and prom, or delivered right to your door to bring beauty to the lives of those you love most! Ashley brings her eye for floral design, marketing expertise, and experience as an educator to grow their business, while Chris serves as mechanic, CFO, and sometimes floral designer/vendor that keeps Shady Hill running -- while they both balance raising two tiny humans!

Wild Child has served as a wonderful resource for their family to fall on when they need an extra hand keeping their little ones busy so they can take care of business, whether that’s farm chores, flower deliveries, or teaching an Ag class.

Roarrr! 🦖🦕 Happy National Dinosaur Day from your friends at Wild Child! We had a WILD day today with 10 friends in our Toddler Fodder & Fun and Supervised Play morning programming, and another 10 kiddos join us for a special Field Trip to kick off our new semester of Summer Fun! ☀️

Soon it will be June! 🫶

We're saying HELLO to Summer and welcoming all the fun in the sun. 🌞 But don't let that stop you from planning your next visit to our imaginative play oasis... we have a whole series of Summer Camps coming up and will spend plenty of time outdoors during our regularly scheduled programming too (like Toddler Fodder & Fun, Movin' and Groovin', and Supervised Play By Request). This week at Wild Child:

We are launching into our Summer Schedule and all the fun this season will bring! 📅 🙌

There's still a few weeks until we get to celebrate our Jungle Jubilee and kick-off Summer Camps which you've been hearing so much about, but we have some exciting new programs your little wild ones can enjoy in the meantime!

Take a look at our Summer Program schedule again and scroll through all of this week's programs below. We hope to see you at one or more of these classes & special events!

-Toddler Fodder & Fun returns with more underwater fun! Mondays & Fridays 9-10:30am with Extended Stay option until 12pm. Monday's snack will be multi-colored shell 🐚 mac n' cheese and Friday will be diy decorating sea animal shaped cookies!

-Our new Pack Animals: Movin' and Groovin' classes Tuesday-Thursday mornings (when camp is NOT in session) are sure to be a HOOT! We'll set sails this week with a marine adventure that may just end in some trouble with pirates!

-Also newer to the program schedule is our Baby Animals: Pack 'n Play class, Wednesdays 12:30-1:30pm! This is a mellow opportunity to get out and explore for the littlest in the herd (ages 0-2, but sibling welcome too💕)

-Lastly, we look forward to our Date Night at the Museum this Friday from 6-8pm!

Plus, Saturday we'll be joining in the fun at the Launch into Summer event at Seven Bends!🛶

P.S., if you're just looking for a little family outing, be sure to consider joining us for Everyday Play, now offered every Wednesday from 3-6pm for "Wednesday Child Wednesday" or Thursday-Saturdays 12-3pm!
