The Arkansas Craft School is seeking a friendly, organized, and community-minded individual to join our team in a part time Front Desk & Craft Market position.

This position is approximately 24 hours per week, working Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and plays an important role in the daily operations of the school and craft market. Responsibilities include welcoming visitors, assisting customers, answering questions about workshops and memberships, managing front desk duties, entering new artist inventory into our craft market system, and helping maintain an inviting and organized retail space.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has strong organizational and communication skills, is comfortable with basic computer tasks, and has an appreciation for handmade art and the mission of the Arkansas Craft School.

Responsibilities Include:

* Greeting visitors and assisting customers
* Manning the front desk and craft market
* Processing sales and memberships
* Entering and organizing artist inventory
* Assisting with general administrative tasks
* Helping maintain a welcoming environment for students, artists, and visitors
* Other duties as assigned

Experience with retail, customer service, inventory systems, or arts organizations is helpful, but not required.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of a creative community and supporting local artists and craftsmanship.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 10+ pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are both indoors and outdoors (occasionally).

Salary Range:

Depending upon experience.

What a wonderful morning at the Arkansas Craft School! We had 14 students join us for our beginner pottery class today, and the studio was full of creativity and laughter! Did you know we also offer pottery birthday parties and private group experiences? It's such a fun and memorable way to celebrate while getting creative with friends and family. Thank you to everyone who came out and spent their morning creating with us. We love seeing our community gather to learn, make, and connect through the arts. Stay tuned for more upcoming pottery workshops and classes at ACS!

High School Volunteers Needed for Summer Art Camp!
The Arkansas Craft School is looking for responsible, creative, and enthusiastic high school students to help with our Summer Art Camp this year!
Volunteers will assist instructors with:
• Setting up and cleaning up art activities
• Helping younger students during projects
• Organizing supplies and materials
• Encouraging creativity and having fun!
This is a great opportunity to:
•Earn volunteer/community service hours
•Gain experience working with children
•Learn new art techniques
•Be part of a creative and supportive environment
No advanced art experience is required, just a positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to help.

Basketry artist and ACS instructor Donna Reynolds of Turquoise Buffalo Weaving will be set up with a beautiful selection of her handmade baskets available for purchase. From traditional styles to unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, there will be plenty to explore and enjoy.
