From the rink to the Future of Flight Gallery. 🏒

Our Gallery sparkled a little brighter when we received a visit from three-time Olympian, 2026 gold medalist, and Seattle Torrent hockey player Alex Carpenter.

It was an honor to welcome Alex — she knows what it takes to take off.✈️

Takeoff from Paine Field! ✈️

The first 777-9 airplane for Luftansa flew ahead of certification testing in our own backyard. The airline is one of the launch customers for the Washington-built 777X.

Boeing pilots Capt. Ted Grady and Capt. Jake Miller took off and landed at Paine Field in Everett for a three-hour, 27-minute profile over Washington and Oregon, completing a standard flight designed to test the airplane’s systems and structures.

Thank you to Lufthansa for choosing the 777X family!
Learn more about the 777/777X during the Boeing Everett Factory Tour and watch daily flight operations at Paine Field from our Sky Deck. Book your tickets today: www.BoeingFutureOfFlight.com/experiences

From Boeing to a galaxy far, far away ✨

Before helping to bring Star Wars to life, Ralph McQuarrie began his career as an artist and design illustrator at Boeing in the 1950s and 1960s, sketching assembly diagrams for the 747 and creating project illustrations. Fascinated with flight and outer space exploration, McQuarrie was later commissioned by filmmaker George Lucas as a concept artist of the original trilogy, designing iconic scenes, settings, and characters like Darth Vader, R2‑D2 and C‑3PO.

Around the world in...three days! ✈️🌎

On May 1, 1976, Pan American's Boeing 747SP "Clipper Liberty Bell" took off from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport for what became a record-setting around-the-world flight. The fourth "Special Performance" 747 built, the airplane took just three days to circle the globe, setting record speeds during flight time that lasted a total of 39 hours, 25 minutes and 53 seconds.

You can learn more about the Boeing 747 in several exhibits and see where the famed “Queen of the Skies” was built with the purchase of Boeing Everett Factory Tour tickets.

Ever wondered what life is like on the International Space Station (ISS)?

Find out by visiting our mockup of the Destiny Module! The Destiny Module — now known as the U.S. Lab — arrived at the ISS aboard Space Shuttle Atlantis in February 2001 to support scientific experiments and studies, including growing food in space.

While walking through (sorry, no ISS-like zero-gravity here!), make sure to check out the views of Earth from Destiny's Window Observational Research Facility.
