As we honor our Nation’s 250th anniversary, our new pop-up exhibit, "From Fo’c’sle to Farmhouse: Revolutionary War Stories from Ship and Shore", explores the people, ships, inventions, and everyday acts of courage that helped shape the American Revolution.

Discover stories of local heroes like Anna Warner Bailey and John Palmer alongside remarkable objects including ship models, wartime diaries, scrimshaw, paintings, a powder horn inscribed with a message of liberty, and even a model of David Bushnell’s revolutionary submarine, TURTLE.

Come see how Connecticut earned the name “The Provision State” and experience the Revolution from both ship and shore.

And stay tuned... we’ll be sharing more fascinating stories from the vault soon!

Two years in a row! 🏆🌊

We’re honored to announce that "SeaClass: The Maritime Classroom," Season 1 is a Silver Telly Award Winner in the Online – Education & Discovery category!

After receiving a Silver Telly Award last year for our Find Your Sea Story mini documentary series, this year’s recognition feels especially meaningful as it celebrates SeaClass: The Digital Classroom and the power of digital learning to connect audiences everywhere with maritime history, science, and storytelling.

The Telly Awards recognize excellence in video and television across all screens, with more than 13,000 entries submitted globally each year. We’re proud to see the Museum’s educational storytelling recognized on this international stage once again. 🧡⚓️

And while we’re celebrating Season 1, we’re already charting the course for what’s next… 👀
