Today is International Museum Day (IMD), and Artis—Naples is joining museums around the globe in taking a moment to reflect on how museums act as spaces for cultural exchange and shared understanding.

The theme of this year’s IMD—Museums Uniting a Divided World—strikes an especially resonant chord with this season’s programming in The Baker Museum’s galleries and beyond, from the community-informed narratives in There & Here: New Perspectives of the Permanent Collection to the work of Florida-based artists in Florida Contemporary 2025-26.

Yesterday marked the first of our Free Museum Sundays, offered all summer long through September 6. We invite you to spend time with these exhibitions and much more in the coming weeks!

Museum hours:
Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-4pm
Sunday, noon-4pm
Closed Mondays
Additional extended evening hours with Music and Museum and Art After Hours.

As the 2025-26 Masterworks series drew to a close last weekend, we took a moment to celebrate longtime Naples Philharmonic musicians Ming Gao, Tracy Leonard, Kevin Mauldin and Rebecca Ziv, who are retiring at the end of the season, for the many years of dedication and artistry they have brought to the stage.

We are grateful for their lasting contributions onstage and beyond. Bravi!
