Thank you all so much for once again voting us “Best Art Gallery” in the Nashville Scene Best of Nashville awards!

So much love to all of the incredible visual artists, creatives, organizations, and collaborators who exhibited and created with us this year. This recognition is just as much yours as it is ours.

It’s a testament to the fact that unconventional, avant-garde, and immersive experiences are not only needed here in Nashville, they’re appreciated.

We’re excited to keep pushing the boundaries, creating more opportunities for artists, and bringing you even bigger, more unexpected experiences.

And hopefully… finding a permanent home that’s accessible and convenient for our community, where we can dream even bigger.

Thank you for continuing to believe in Cë Gallery. We’re just getting started.

🗣️DEADLY PREY is coming back to Nashville!! We’ve added an extra day and a larger venue. RSVP now!

Deadly Prey Gallery a Chicago-based traveling art gallery, works with 10 incredible artists in and around Accra, Ghana, preserving the legacy of hand-painted Ghanaian movie posters.

These bold, one-of-a-kind artworks trace back to the “Ghanaian Mobile Cinema” era of the late ’80s–2000s, when traveling video clubs used hand-painted posters to advertise their film screenings, from Hollywood action to Nollywood classics.

Though the mobile cinemas are gone, the art lives on. Deadly Prey continues this tradition by commissioning new works directly from the original artists, with 100% of merch profits going back to them.

$25 Prints will also be available for purchase. Buy 4 get the 5th one free.

Founded by Brian Chankin and Robert Kofi Ghartey in 2012, Deadly Prey celebrates over 30 years of this vibrant art form, keeping alive the wild, imaginative spirit that made these posters global cult icons.

Join us on May 14th at Waymores Guesthouse- for the opening reception of the art exhibition ‘Surreal Transitions’ which features works by two local artists who have transitioned into visual art, blending lived experience with surreal, imaginative expressions.


Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee Cole Shugart has spent most of his time in a van traveling the country with a band of misfits. Turning to the oil paints after a long stint on the road seemed unnatural at first, but quickly became a place of solitude. Attempting to bring the surreal landscapes that he visits while he sleeps with the ever changing landscape of the road is the goal of his pieces. Studying under his uncle and Nashville native, Bruce Matthews, Cole learned to paint with oils under close supervision of this surrealist master, while in between making albums for his band The Criticals. This Collection of pieces is from late 2022 to 2023, when the world seemed to be falling in around him. Turning to the dream world as well as artists Yves Tanguy and Heironymous Bosch as a place of inspiration, Cole completed six oil paintings over a 5 month period, before diving back into music for the past 3 years.


Jason Clifton is a contemporary artist based in Nashville, focusing on themes of passage and uncertainty. Using acrylics and found objects, he creates pieces that reflect on the wonderment that can be found in times of transition. When not creating, he enjoys the pause between moments and quiet coffee rituals.
