Does “your order is outside”
mean something different to other people than me?!

I get confused a lot.
And I realize that.

But I thought “your Uber Eats delivery person is outside with your food -go answer the door”
meant that my delivery person is outside and I should answer the door…

I answered the door.
Nobody answered back.

It was just me and the door,
just standing there.
But the door did it better,
being a trained professional.
That’s what doors do.
I just stood there,
looking silly without any food.

There is a coyote on my back porch right now;
he woke me up -
after I finally fell back asleep -finally—
and he is now yelling at either his girlfriend or wife or babyMama;idk,Wile E.

I gave him some snacks and asked him to please take his personal drama elsewhere.

Pan is fortunately lying next to me
and is not involved in any of this Animal Kingdom nonsense.

I’m sure this is why Opie,the possum,
wants to move in with me - -

There’s less drama and the food is good.

Things I think about when I should be sleeping:

Why are you resting when you should be figuring out the cure for cancer,Tia??!?!

And why can’t you end war?
All wars,everywhere*???!!
(In my defense,I’m not technically in charge of the world,Brain.)

Remember that person you had an argument with in 3rd grade??!
You should call and apologize right now!!
You were so mean and that was a terrible thing to do!!

(But,Brain,I don’t even know where she lives -
or even if she DOES live-
and she’s most likely not dwelling on that random incident and will most likely be annoyed if I call her after all these years,
just right out of the blue at 12:33 at night…)
Yeah;don’t do that.

You should go paint downstairs in your basement right this minute,Tia!
Go paint!!
But that basement honestly creeps me out;
plus;shouldn’t I maybe try to go back to sleep??

No!!
You have to solve all the world’s problems!
Solve them!
Do this.
Or;idk,take a bath with Epsom salts and go back to sleep.

Beauty,and the way we perceive it is so odd…
I mean-it’s not like it’s an achievement;right?!!
And it’s so subjective.
Like Ray Charles said-
everyone is beautiful,in their own way.
The French have a term-
“Jolie-laid”
Which translates to “ugly-pretty”.

I get that concept-I look at rusted metal -
and love it.
Kudzu vines covering junk cars in Eastern Ky—
Love.
Love.
I have cut myself accidentally-
and bled-and thought- oh,would you just look at that beautiful red color!!!

Also,I’m weird AF
and an artist,
so these are the things that go through my mind when most people would worry about finding bandages…
I just admire the colors oozing out.

I’m going to stop trying to fit in.

It’s useless at this point.

I usually write in bed awhile when I first wake up;since I’m working on an autobiography,being half asleep seems to trigger memories more easily.
Then I check the weather to know how to dress and get up…
I just checked the weather.
It’s 37 degrees!!!!
37!!
That’s settles it;
I’m not getting out of this bed til spring.

Bears have the right idea;hibernation it is.

The possum I call “Opie” is on my porch right now,happily eating her dinner.

Today’s was salad,
some chickpeas,a little hamburger,some
leftover Thai shrimp
and a few pieces of spinach
and some bits of boiled egg to top it all off.

For the last few months
I’ve been feeding her,
I’ve liked her more than most of the humans I know…

She’s so happy to have whatever I give her
;all day,every day.

Still a tiny bit skittish around me- -
but now that she has realized it’s ME feeding her
(& not Pan!)
She’s less worried about me.

I think she thought it was him feeding her for the last few months—
(because his outdoor cat tree is right by the
steps where I put her food.)

Pan sits there & supervises;
so she understandably thought he was placing it there.

But,no,m’am-he was not!!!
I have been feeding you for 2 months!!

She’s probably just going to move in soon.
I wish she would;it would be simpler for everyone.

I live right by the zoo—all of y’all,just come on in.
Whatever.
