On Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 4 PM CT, our executive director Jennifer Core will be presenting at the Southern Festival of Books. The lecture will take place at the Tennessee State Library & Archives in the Obion Room. Come learn about Tennessee Samplers: Female Education and Domestic Arts, 1800-1900. Jennifer will be joined by her co-author Janet S. Hasson for a book signing after the talk.

We can't wait for the Southern Festival of Books this weekend! Our staff is on the road to Nashville today to be there bright and early to set up our UTP booth. Be sure to stop by and say hello!

Want to support the UT Press while enjoying everything the festival has to offer? Authors Mary Ellen Pethel, Don Cusic, Joseph Millichap, and Jennifer Core, will all be participating in events this weekend, so we've grouped all of their appearances here for ease.

The festival is completely FREE to attend and kicks off tomorrow morning, Sat. Oct. 18 (9am-6pm) and concludes on Sun. Oct 19 (10am-5pm). There will be readings, signings, live music, vendors, food trucks, and more!
