The Briars is an antebellum mansion that is rich in history. Sitting upon 19 acres, the home was built between the years of 1814-1818 and overlooks the Mighty Mississippi River. The home became the wedding site of Confederate President, Jefferson Davis and Varina Howell in 1845. The Briars has since become a favorite Bed and Breakfast with tourists from all over the world.
