The Neodesha Historical Museum 106 Artifact from Neodeha's beginning day in the late 1860's when inhabitants included The Little Osage. That started an oil boom across the entire region.

The first oil well west of the Mississippi River, Norman #1, struck oil in 1892.

WALL RECEIVES OVATION AT 25TH ANNIVERSARY RECOGNITION

Former Field Kindley High School boys' basketball coach Dan Wall acknowledged the crowd while receiving an ovation at Friday's Field Kindley-Labette County basketball game in Coffeyville. Wall was present for the 25th anniversary of the 2000-01 Golden Tornado boys' basketball team that won the class 4A state basketball championship. Wall was the head coach of that state title team. With Wall at the recognition ceremony were numerous members from that squad. Pictured with Wall are David Jackson (left), who served as assistant coach on that 2000-01 team, and Jordon Gullick (center), who was a member of the squad.
