There’s something different that happens when you step outside of your usual environment and give yourself time to really look.

This summer in Cognac, France, I’ll be guiding a figurative painting workshop with Le Cot Retreats, focused on building a relationship between figure and landscape.

We’ll work through tonal structure, composition, and presence, creating studies that hold weight, not just surface.

The goal is to return with something lasting:
a body of work you can continue to build from.

There’s something different that happens when you step outside of your usual environment and give yourself time to really look.
