The Glass House is pleased to introduce Dozie Kanu as the featured artist for the 2026 Summer Party, whose work will debut alongside this year’s event on Saturday, June 6.

Working across media, Kanu’s practice explores the relationship between memory, perception, and material form. Created exclusively to benefit The Glass House for the Summer Party, Kanu’s limited-edition photographic diptychs reflect his ongoing interest in repetition, recognition, and the perception of images as physical forms. Photography functions in his practice as both a method of collecting and a form of sketching—an archive of images that feel psychologically charged or subtly displaced. Presented as diptychs, the repeated image shifts the viewer’s experience from observation to confirmation, evoking the sensation of seeing something twice in order to fully believe it was there. Through this precise and deliberate gesture, Kanu transforms the photograph into something sculptural: an object defined as much by memory and perception as by the image itself.

The edition is now available for purchase, with all proceeds directly supporting The Glass House’s preservation efforts, exhibitions, and educational programs. We invite you to reserve an edition in advance of the Summer Party or plan to acquire the work at the event—availability is limited.

Art-Edition Purchasing Options:
$1,500 per artwork now until June 8. Available for purchase online.
$2,000 artwork + discounted individual Summer Party tickets. Available with a Friend level ticket online.

The Glass House Summer Party is a celebration of architecture, design, music, and performance, featuring a music and dance program curated by Saint Heron and a silent auction hosted by Artsy. We look forward to sharing this special event and photographic edition by Dozie Kanu with you on June 6.

Columbus, Indiana, is home to an extraordinary concentration of modernist landmarks: works by Eero Saarinen, Eliot Noyes, I.M. Pei, and other luminaries that have made it one of the most architecturally significant small cities in the world, and a model for other modernist communities to consider. Register 🔗 in bio.
