Egyptian Geese by Sven Martson

Out of Africa, Sven Martson:
Standing in the savannahs of East Africa and the arid landscapes of
Namibia, Martson’s trips to Africa have been life-changing, giving him a sense of connection to the roots of humanity. Privileged to photograph many of the animals in the African national parks, his several visits
have resulted in images of animals that may soon become extinct in the wild.

Sean Patrick Gallagher: These Wine-Dark, Warming Currents, Rising. No horizon, no land beyond the vast, red waters. Lateral expanse, a continual horizontal immersion and “wine-dark” sea, a reference describing the Odyssey and Iliad. Via contemporary climate change and political waves, this metaphoric poetic device becomes less romantic, more ominous and prophetic. The red, rising waters warn us: the heating and rising of the oceans is an active, existential threat.

SUMMARY: Sean Gallagher exhibits paintings of vivid and vast red seascapes with endless horizons and Sven Martson displays photos of African wildlife on location. Both artists urge humanity to reverse climate change and preserve earth’s habitats for the living

The work of Brian Flinn often encompases drawing, digital art, collage and/or a combination of those elements.

In Flinn's words: For the past twenty-five years, digital media has been a central component of my studio practice comprising the majority of my exhibited work. However, physical drawing has played a fundamental part of my process.

Let's take a look at some work from "Drawing and Mixed Media" 2021. Can you guess where the drawing ends and the other methods fill in? Visit our website at www.kehlerliddellgallery.com to find out more!

Craig Frederick, Parsimony Proposed, made from Core Line Stainless Rod. 2015

Sculpture is the means by which I am able to combine what is real with that which is imagined. In a world where order, as we perceive it, is a mere illusion, the work of my art becomes the ability to navigate the churning of many tides. Ultimately, I emerge with a better sense of self, manifested in a work of art. --Craig Frederick
