SAVE THE DATE: The New Ipswich Historical Society invites the public to its annual meeting on Sunday, September 14, at 2:00 p.m. at the Barrett House (79 Main Street), featuring Kim Varney Chandler, who will present an overview of New Hampshire’s 60-plus covered bridges along with interesting facts she uncovered while researching her 2022 book, Covered Bridges of New Hampshire. I'll be posting portraits from two albums donated by the Thayer family. These photos were taken in the late 1800s, which makes them older than most of the other ones we have. I have only a few names which I will add but most are unidentified. If you have information, let me know. Since they are in Google Photos, they might get picked up by facial recognition.
